Das Graue Tuch – Immersives Musiktheater

Der unscheinbare Titel „Das graue Tuch“ täuscht. Das Musiktheater ist eine farbintensive 360° Fulldome Show mit Live-Schauspiel und Orchester. Das Stück basiert auf dem Roman Das Graue Tuch und zehn Prozent Weiß. Ein Damenroman von Paul Scheerbart, erschienen 1914. Die Handlung spielt in einer imaginierten Zukunft, die unsere Gegenwart sein könnte. Das Stück mit seinen manchmal nicht ganz unabstrusen Abenteuern wird von der Jenaer Fulldome Festival Foundation produziert, zusammen mit Studierenden der Bauhaus-Uni Weimar (Immersive Medien) und Künstlerteams aus Jena, Berlin, Wiesbaden, Heggelbach, Hamburg und Los Angeles.
Die Veranstaltung reiht sich ein in die Feier zum hundertjährigen Jubiläum des Planetariums im Jahre 2026.
Das Theaterstück am 15.05.25 ist in englischer Sprache. Am 18.05.25 um 19.30 wird das Theaterstück in deutsch aufgeführt.

The inconspicuous title ‘The grey cloth’ deceives. The musical theatre is a colourful 360° fulldome show with live acting and orchestra. The piece is based on the novel Das Graue Tuch und zehn Prozent Weiß. A Ladies‘ Novel by Paul Scheerbart, published in 1914, the action takes place in an imagined future that could be our present. The play, with its sometimes not entirely unabstruse adventures, is being produced by the Jena Fulldome Festival Foundation, together with students from the Bauhaus University Weimar (immersive media) and artist teams from Jena, Berlin, Wiesbaden, Heggelbach, Hamburg and Los Angeles.
The event is part of the celebrations to mark the Planetarium’s centenary in 2026.
The theatre play on 15.05.25 is in English. On 18.05.25 at 19.30 the theater will be performed in german.
